The STIHL MS 391 is a powerful all-purpose chainsaw with a 2-MIX engine. This version, supplied with a LOG guide bar and PMX chain, is intended for ripping on compatible LOGOSOL sawmills. Forestry work requires a suitable cutting attachment.
Air pre-separation reduces contamination of the fleece filter. The tank caps open without tools, and the engine cover is secured with screws. Chain oil delivery is adjustable.
Supplied with:
• LOG guide bar, 45 cm, 3/8″ P, 1.3 mm;
• PMX ripping chain, 3/8″ P, 1.3 mm, 66 drive links;
• 19 × 13 mm combination wrench;
• Estonian instruction manual.
Alternative cutting attachments include a 40 cm LIGHT 04 bar with 3/8″ pitch and 1.6 mm gauge, plus RMC3 or RAPID HEXA RH chains with 60 drive links. Before conversion, check compatibility of the complete cutting system, including the drive sprocket.
FORESTPLUS and BIOPLUS chain oils, HP Super and HP ULTRA two-stroke oils, and an MS 391 2-MIX service kit are available separately.

The chrome-plated cylinder and four-channel 2-MIX engine technology support efficient combustion. The Ematic system with Oilomatic chain and an adjustable oil pump lubricates the guide bar and chain. The anti-vibration system reduces vibration at the handles.
