The STIHL MS 172 C-BE is a 2-MIX petrol chainsaw for cutting firewood, garden and construction work, and felling small trees. The anti-vibration system reduces vibration at the handles. The combi lever with stop function automatically returns to the operating position after the engine is switched off, making restarting easier.
ErgoStart reduces the effort needed to start the saw, while Quick Chain Tensioning allows the chain to be adjusted without tools.
Supplied with:
• 3/8″ P PMC3 chain, 1.3 mm gauge, 50 drive links;
• Rollomatic E LIGHT guide bar, 35 cm, 3/8″ P, 1.3 mm;

Design and equipment
The STIHL 2-MIX engine uses four-channel technology to direct the fuel-air mixture into the cylinder for efficient combustion. The carburettor compensator helps maintain consistent engine performance as the air filter becomes dirty. The Ematic system supplies oil to the guide bar and chain, while the anti-vibration system reduces vibration at the handles.
