The STIHL MS 162 is a 2-MIX petrol chainsaw for cutting firewood, garden and construction work, and felling small trees. The anti-vibration system reduces vibration at the handles. The combi lever with stop function automatically returns to the operating position after the engine is switched off, making restarting easier.
Chain tension is adjusted from the side through the sprocket cover.
Supplied with:
• 3/8″ P PMC3 chain, 1.3 mm gauge, 44 drive links;
• Rollomatic E LIGHT guide bar, 30 cm, 3/8″ P, 1.3 mm;
• combination wrench;
• Estonian instruction manual.
Available separately: compatible PS3 and PD3 chains with 3/8″ P pitch, 1.3 mm gauge and 44 drive links; FORESTPLUS and BIOPLUS chain oils; HP Super and HP ULTRA two-stroke oils; MS 162/172 Kit 18 service kit.
Design and equipment
The STIHL 2-MIX engine uses four-channel technology to direct the fuel-air mixture into the cylinder for efficient combustion. The carburettor compensator helps maintain consistent engine performance as the air filter becomes dirty. The Ematic system supplies oil to the guide bar and chain, while the anti-vibration system reduces vibration at the handles.
